Elf Program
Elves are Girl Scouts, currently in 7th – 12th grades, who work closely with adult leaders to deliver camp program. The Elf Program provides leadership experiences, fosters teamwork and communication skills that they will carry forward into all aspects of their life. Elves are wonderful role models for the campers and being an Elf is FUN!
Elves work in groups of two or three in camper or core program units. They lead campers in singing and games. At Twin Canyon, Elves might also assist in cooking over charcoal.
- The number of New Elves accepted each year is limited. Those New Elves applying with working volunteers have priority in registration.
- Elves at Diablo Day Camp must be currently in 7th grade or higher.
- All Elves are required to attend and pass training. NO EXCEPTIONS.
- First year through 4th year Elves are required to perform 2 hours of approved service to camp.
- Elves are expected to arrive at camp 30 minutes before the start time and stay up to 30 minutes afterwards, (same as adult volunteers).
- Elves are also expected to attend their session’s planning meeting and attend the Set-Up Day for their session.
Elves who are not currently registered Girl Scouts will have to register as Girl Scouts upon acceptance into camp. https://www.gsnorcal.org/en/about-girl-scouts/join.html
